Privacy Policy
The short version: Shiftcard has no accounts, no ads, no analytics and no servers. Your jobs, pay rates and hours stay on your iPhone. If iCloud is on, they're also kept in your own private iCloud storage. The developer can't see any of it.
Who's responsible
Shiftcard is published by Have Faith Inc., a company in Québec, Canada ("the developer" in this policy), which is responsible for any personal information covered here. The person in charge of the protection of personal information is the President of Have Faith Inc., reachable at hi@havefaithinc.ca.
What the app stores
The jobs, pay rates, overtime rules, shifts (worked and pencilled in), breaks, tips and notes you enter, the pay stub figures you enter to check (hours and gross pay), plus your settings (currency, language, reminders). They're saved in the app's storage on your device.
iCloud sync
If you're signed in to iCloud and iCloud is turned on for Shiftcard, your data syncs between your devices through your private iCloud database, run by Apple. Only your Apple Account can read it; the developer has no access. Apple's privacy policy covers iCloud. To stop syncing, go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud and turn Shiftcard off.
What the developer collects
Nothing. Shiftcard has no analytics, crash reporting SDKs, advertising, tracking, or third-party code that sends data anywhere. It doesn't use your location, contacts, photos or microphone. If you've turned on sharing in iOS, Apple may give the developer anonymous crash reports and usage statistics; that's controlled by Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Face ID and passcode
Punching in or out from the Lock Screen asks you to unlock first. iOS handles that check, and the app never receives your face data or passcode.
Notifications
Every Shiftcard notification is local: scheduled on your iPhone by the app, with nothing sent over the internet. Each kind except the last can be turned off in Jobs › Reminders, and all of them in Settings › Notifications › Shiftcard. They are:
- "Still on the clock?" if you stay punched in past the time you set (job name and punch-in time);
- a reminder near the end of an unpaid break (when it started);
- a reminder when a shift you pencilled in starts (job name and start time);
- the evening a pay period closes, with that period's dates, hours and overtime hours so far (never a pay amount);
- on payday, if you set one, a reminder to check your pay stub (job name and the pay period's dates);
- on long shifts, a quiet notice to open the app so the Lock Screen timer keeps running.
The app asks for permission the first time you open it with a job set up.
Widgets and Live Activities
Widgets and the Lock Screen timer read a small summary (job name, hours, the shift in progress) that the app keeps on your device. The app marks the job name and the week's hours as private, so iOS can hide them while your iPhone is locked; what's shown depends on your iPhone's settings. The timer and punch-in time stay visible so you can check them at a glance. Notifications show the details listed above; to hide notification text on the Lock Screen, go to Settings › Notifications › Show Previews.
Purchases
Shiftcard Pro is bought through Apple's App Store. Apple handles the payment; the developer never receives your name, Apple Account, or payment details. The app checks your purchase with Apple on your iPhone, without any server of ours.
Exports
PDF and CSV time cards are created only when you tap Export, and they go only where you choose to send them.
This website
This site has no cookies, analytics, trackers, ads or third-party scripts, and it collects nothing you type. It's hosted by Cloudflare, which processes visitors' IP addresses and basic request details to deliver the pages and protect them from attacks, under Cloudflare's privacy policy. The developer doesn't use that information to identify anyone. Because nothing tracks you, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals change nothing here.
Emails to support
If you email support, the developer receives your email address and what you write, and uses them only to answer you. Support email is hosted by Proton (Switzerland) and kept for 2 years after the last message, then deleted. Because Proton and Cloudflare operate outside Québec, support emails and website request details may be processed outside Québec. There's no need to send pay stubs, ID numbers or your hours.
Deleting your data
Deleting a shift or job in the app removes it, including from iCloud. Deleting the app removes everything on that device. To remove iCloud data too, go to Settings › [your name] › iCloud › Manage Account Storage › Shiftcard.
Children
Shiftcard is meant for working adults and isn't directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Shiftcard won't start collecting data without updating this page and the App Store privacy label first.
Your rights
The app gives the developer no personal information, so there's nothing about you to see or delete there. If you've emailed support, you can ask to see, correct or delete that correspondence, or withdraw your consent, by writing to hi@havefaithinc.ca; you'll get an answer within 30 days. In Québec, you can also complain to the Commission d'accès à l'information; elsewhere, to your local privacy authority.
